St. Rocco report (belated!)

Hello!

I've added a link to subscribe to posts via rss, or, if you are a Google user, you can join via 'Google Friend Connect' to help keep track of activity here on the blog. :)

At the beginning of September, we played at St. Rocco's annual festival. Although we had an unusual group of instruments, we survived the night! It was a little chilly Saturday night:

Sunday was slightly warmer, but not too warm-perfect for a procession.

I love this image to the right even though we are stopped waiting for fireworks, you can see the rest of the procession and the church in the background.

The evening wasn't too bad weather wise, and thankfully, the midges were not in full force yet. (ever try playing an instrument with bugs flying in your mouth? Not fun!) Here's Rich showing a couple of young fans how to play a tune on the clarinet.

Of course, you can't forget the Zeppoli!!

Ahhh, Italian fried dough-no one makes it like the folks at St. Rocco's. (We do love the Zeppoli!!) :)

Overall, not a bad weekend. Although we have one more gig this year, this was our last sit down gig for the season.
(breaktime!)

As I mentioned, we have one more gig this year-the Peruvian procession at Sacred Family, this Sunday starting after the 12pm mass. Til next time!! :)
