Hello Italian Band of Cleveland!

First of all, a big THANK YOU! to everyone who made it to the Feast-it's a big job and we can't do it without you!  :)

Next up is St. Rocco's tomorrow!  We will be doing a procession at 1, followed by a short sit-down concert that will run about 45 minutes to an hour (weather permitting, of course).  Please try to arrive by 12:30 so you can get your music.  Remember your lyres for the procession and stands for the sit-down.

Also, be warned: ZEPOLLI!!!! (it's very tasty!) ;)

Hope to see you tomorrow!

The Feast!

Thank you to everyone who made it to Holy Redeemer this past Sunday!

And now-it's that time of year again!  This is it!  Once again it's time for the Feast of the Assumption at Holy Rosary in Little Italy!

We will be performing all 4 nights, starting tomorrow (August 14th).  Here's the schedule:

Thursday (14th): 6-8 pm, neighborhood walk (don't forget your lyres!)  8 pm (approximately-probably after a short break)-10:30 pm: Sit down concert (don't forget your stands!).

Friday (15th): 11am :  Procession-please try to arrive early!!!  Parking in Little Italy can be rough.
Evening schedule the same as Thursday, starting at 6pm.

Saturday (16th): Evening schedule the same as Thursday, starting at 6pm.

Sunday (17th):  Neighborhood walk starting at 6pm, following by the closing procession.  There will be no sit down concert Sunday, so you will only need your lyres.

We will have a room on the third floor of the school to store cases, stands, etc.

Please let Jesse know which days you will be able to attend-thank you!

Hope to see you there!

Sunday is looking sunny with temps in the upper 70s/lower 80s.  Don't forget your sunscreen!

If you haven't done so already, please let Jesse know if you can or cannot attend.  Thank you!

Mt. Carmel This Weekend!

First of all-thank you to everyone who made it to Shore Acres on the 4th of July!  Goodtimes were had by all. :)

Next up is Mt. Carmel this weekend!  We will be playing both Saturday and Sunday (July 12th and 13th).
Saturday night will be different this year-we will be having both a sit down concert and walk the streets afterwards, so remember your stands and your lyres!  The sit down starts at 5:30 pm-please be in your seats by 5:15 because we must have a downbeat at 5:30.  We will be playing the black books for the sit down concert.  Sally will be conducting as Nick is unavailable then.  We will play one set then we will hit the streets.

Sunday's procession starts at 1 pm-please be there early so you can get your music!

As always, if you haven't already, please let Jesse know if you can or cannot attend.  Thank you!!!

St. Anthony Procession at Holy Redeemer

Hello everyone!

Our first performance of the summer is this Sunday at Holy Redeemer in Collinwood!  Please arrive by 11:30 am so we can hand out music.  Don't forget your lyres, sunscreen and water!  The forecast is for high 70s and possibly rain, but they will still have the procession if at all possible-so please come to the church even if the weather looks poor.

As always, please let Jesse know if you can make it!

Jesse included the 2014 schedule in his email.  If you are supposed to be receiving Italian Band emails and are not, please let him know.  (If you wish to be removed from the Italian Band email list-let him know that as well).

Hope to see you there!

Minor Correction to Mt. Carmel Schedule

Just a quick note-I had the wrong days for Mt. Carmel in the new schedule.  We will be playing on Saturday July 12th and Sunday July 13th-NOT the 13th and the 14th!  My apologies!

Special thanks to Bob for alerting us to the mistake! :)

2014 Schedule!

Hello Everyone!

I have updated the page and added the 2014 schedule.  I have a couple of side notes:

Note 1:  In case you didn't notice-Saturday night at Mt. Carmel starts an hour earlier and ends an hour later than last year.  That is because we will be playing one set sitting at 5:30 pm!  We will play, then take a short break and go out on the street at 7pm.  Please bring a stand for the first set.

Note 2:  Currently there are no evening performances scheduled for St. Rocco's on Labor Day weekend.  This may or may not change.  Please watch your email (and this blog!) for updates regarding evening performances for that weekend.

That's all for now-our first gig will be the St. Anthony procession at Holy Redeemer on June 8th.  Hope to see you there!

Good Friday at St. Rocco's

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all surviving the winter! (Yes, I said surviving and not survived-I grew up in Minnesota and have spent enough time in northeast Ohio to know that just because the calendar says it's spring doesn't necessarily mean that Mother Nature got the memo. ;) ).

This Friday is Good Friday and we are playing at St. Rocco's at 6:30 pm.  Standard Italian Band dress-but please dress warmly, as it will probably be chilly.

If you haven't done so already, please let Wayne or Jesse know if you can attend.

Hope to see you there!
